Live and Flourish
This week Live and Flourish is still from Laozi, wonder why it is still from Laozi, I guess there are just a lot to learn from, no matter how I interpreted it, right or wrong, I try to see it from a positive point of view. The quotes that I choose to elaborate are more or less has some connection with my personal life and how I deal with it. To think back, I do have the habit of rushing things that I want to accomplish, ambitious and cost a price, I stock up things that I consider useful and fulfill the second part of today quote, I loose myself to demand more of it and accomplish what I wanted from the beginning. Today, I think I have change a lot, but still could be better, I set a time frame to finish certain tasks, most of the time things delayed or canceled, yet I remind myself, better than not, I still did finish the important ones. Hope today quote is a good reminder to all of us. :)

A Piece of Craft, A Peace of Mind: Jeans' Day
Today, my hand making activities would be shortening my new jeans, I actually do this almost every time I purchased new jeans, either I am too short or the jeans is just too long J(for me). Defending myself, I am 160cm Asian, normal size for a girl in my opinion. To fix it, I usually wear it first then bend the end part of the jeans leg to the length that I want. Walk around like a fashion lady to see if it looks and wear just fine, adjust it if I need too, when everything looks fine, I took off the jeans as how it is. After that I add up around 3 to 4 cm from the bend line, this add up would be use as a base that I would flip in again and sew. After laying out the jeans in the wide space with two legs on top of each other, I cut off the left over. Divide the add ups in two and flip in, tuck in needle with head to secure it, all over in circle.
And we are half way, Am I lazy? I normally would stop for snack or drink, a quick rest and coming back to my work would sometimes help me find out bits of mistakes or maybe some adjustment to make. Let’s start sewing than, just sew around the circle after securing it with needle head. And you will have (I will have) a perfect length of jeans.
